In 1996 I started thinking about an ensemble of electronic musical instruments based upon an interesting hexagonal pattern that I had been studying since I was in music school over 10 years earlier.
			The Trichord is an electronic keyboard with a geometric key arrangement based upon harmonic relationships between each of the keys. You can view the patent here.
			In May 2001 I went on a 2-week concert tour of Japan with the new instrument.
