A spa in the Santa Monica mountains overlooking the beaches of Malibu. This was to be a retreat on a difficult mountain site which had to blend into the natural landscape. My approach was to "pull" the structures up from the undulating topology, following the natural rises and falls of the site.

This studio was led by Michael Rotondi.
